NOW THAT THE weather has started to turn, women are once again looking for that a good pair of tights that won’t fail them when the going gets tough.
It happens every year. You buy a multipack in Penneys only to find them in ribbons after two wears. But it doesn’t have to be this way.
I’ve found my Holy Grail Tights, and I want to share that knowledge with all of you.
In my humble opinion, Marks and Spencer Bodysensor opaque tights are the best ones going. You get three pairs for €11 – try them and you’ll never waver from them again (unless you find a fancy pair in TK Maxx for almost no money, which is the ultimate dream). Allow me to make my case.
These bad boys don’t ladder.
Honestly! I’ve gone through pairs and pairs of these 60 deniers and they’ve never snagged on me. The most that happens is a hole in the toe when they get a bit old, but who can blame them for that? They’ve put in a valuable service.
They don’t turn to shite in the wash.
You can throw them in with anything and they come out good as new. You don’t have to mind them. It’s great.
They don’t go bobbly.
Nothing ruins a look like accidentally putting on the bobbly old tights you meant to throw out.
The elastic doesn’t go after two wears.
In the past I have rotated through the same pack of three for six months, perhaps more? And they’ve never entered Fally Downy territory – a huge achievement, I think you’ll agree.
Before you ask: M&S have given me nothing but a genuine desire to help every woman find a good pair of tights. Go forth and treat your legs.
